About this archive

Where this came from

This site restores the original Desi Warrior website from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. The primary source is the capture of desiwarrior.com on 18 March 2016. Each page was rebuilt from the capture of that page nearest to that date. Text, obstacle details, event information and photographs come from those captures; the films are the originals, still hosted on the Desi Warrior YouTube channel.

What is historical

Everything describing events, dates, venues, prices, sponsors, partners, contact details, safety arrangements and operations is reproduced as published in 2015–16. None of it should be read as a current offer. No current or upcoming Desi Warrior event has been confirmed, and registration is not open.

The 2016 footer read: “Copyright © 2014 Adrenaline Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. All rights reserved.”

What has changed, and why

• The full-screen, auto-playing background video on the homepage is now a click-to-play video. It loads nothing from YouTube until you press play, which keeps pages fast and respects reduced-motion and data preferences.
• Events listed as "upcoming" in March 2016 are shown as dated historical listings. The "Info & Register", sign-in, sign-up and checkout features have been removed because there is no current event to register for.
• The original Pictures page let runners look up photos by bib number through Pic2Go. That service has ended, so the page is now a Gallery of the photos that survive in the archive. Only the kids' course galleries were preserved; the adult event galleries were never saved by the Internet Archive.
• The contact form and volunteer sign-up form have been removed: there is no approved system behind them yet. Current contact details will be added once confirmed.
• Sponsors and partners are kept as a historical list of credits. The company descriptions each partner supplied in 2016 are preserved in the project archive but not republished, and sponsor names do not link out.
• The kids' course page was titled "Fruit Shoot Chotta Warrior" after its 2015–16 title sponsor. It is now "Chotta Warrior", with Fruit Shoot credited as that season's sponsor.
• The original headline typeface, United Sans, is a commercial font whose web licence could not be confirmed. Headings use Big Shoulders Stencil and Barlow Condensed (open-licence fonts with a similar stencilled, condensed character); the body font, Cabin, is the same as in 2016.
• Copy has been lightly edited to fix typos and spelling (for example "though" to "through"). Wording and tone are otherwise unchanged, and the original text is preserved verbatim in the project archive.
• The 11 October 2015 event page shows the two films from that event. The archived page had reused the March 2015 film.
• Pop-ups (newsletter sign-up, sign-in and "sold out" notices) have been removed. Only the YouTube channel is linked, because it is the only 2016 social account verified as live.
