Why should adults have all the fun?

We totally agree with you, little guys, which is why we developed India's first completely dedicated 1 km course with 10+ age-appropriate obstacles for the Chotta Warrior! Not only do they get to enjoy the thrill and excitement of a Desi Warrior obstacle run, they get to do it with you right by their side! That's right, one parent is allowed to accompany their child out on the course to cheer them on and share this unforgettable moment with them.

Grow up healthy

In this day and age, where video games, TV, mall rats and fast food reign supreme, we at Desi Warrior believe the only way to break the cycle is to start 'em young! Getting kids involved in physical activity at a young age helps them develop both physically and mentally, allowing them to be more athletic and alert. Add obstacles to the mix and you've got a winning recipe that forges kids who are not only fit but also tough enough to take on life's challenges!

Stronger families

One more thing: parents today are looking for constructive and healthy ways to engage with their children, and with options being limited, Desi Warrior is the perfect way for a family to spend some quality time together. So what if it involves mud? So what if it means getting wet? The kids love it! We adults used to love it… but somewhere along the way we got caught up with life. Why not be a kid again? And there's no better person to do it with than your own child.

What did they get?

In 2015–16, every Chotta Warrior received the following as part of their registration fee:

  • A free Chotta Warrior T-shirt
  • Bib number
  • Finisher medal
  • A free health drink at the finish line (obviously no beer!)
  • One parent pass
  • Bragging rights for being totally awesome!

Minimum age and race format

While we appreciated that your little one may well be the perfect Chotta Warrior, because of the obstacles we had to ensure that kids had good motor skills and were of a certain height. Keeping the best interest of the kids in mind, the age category and race format was:

  • 7–15 years: ran first and took two rounds of the kids' course (2 km)

There were waves for kids from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

Was it safe?

The 2016 site answered: "Absolutely! We know you have precious cargo to worry about, which is why we make sure that every obstacle is age-appropriate and 100% secure. We will also have volunteers on the course to ensure our Chotta Warriors follow the rules and conquer each obstacle safely. And just in case all that is not enough, you parents will also be out there just to add that final touch of care."
